I’m invited to a “SHARKNADO 3: Oh Hell No!” party on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, so I thought I would wear a mini Sharknado on my head. The idea had been ruminating with me since I saw the first “Sharknado” movie.
I finally figured out how I was going to make it and went about gathering all the items I would need to execute this idea.
Supplies needed:
1) Plastic toy sharks
2) Hat to cut up
3) 1 small Styrofoam ring
4) 1 large Styrofoam rin
5) Wooden BBQ skewers
6) Grey Fabric
7) Straight Pins
8) T- Pins
9) Krazy Glue
10 Wide Elastic
11) Fiberfill
12) Aleene’s Quick Dry Fabric Fusion Permanent Adhesive
Step 1: Attach Large Styrofoam ring to Small Styrofoam ring using about 10 – 12 wooden BBQ skewers.

Step 2: Next pin the small Styrofoam ring to the hat.

Step 3: Cut notches in the hat so you can attach a piece of elastic to make a chin strap. Secure elastic with T – Pins.
Step 4: Cover the whole headpiece with grey fabric, trim excess fabric off. Secure fabric to the Styrofoam rings with straight pins.

Step 5: Using Aleene’s Quick Dry Fabric Fusion, glue pieces of fiberfill to grey material (Let dry overnight)
Step 6: Now comes the fun part, attach sharks randomly to the tornado. Using T- Pins, secure the shark to a piece of the styrofoam, then for additional stability use Krazy Glue to hold into place.

There’s still time for you to make your very own “SHARKNADO” headpiece before Wednesday. If you do, please take a photo and send it to me so I can see your masterpiece!
