In 2013, Janice Ogata along with members of The Pasadena Crochet Meet Up were invited by Yarn Bombing Los Angeles to participate in “CAFAM Granny Squared,” a public participatory art project in which over 500 crafters from 25 countries and all 50 states were asked to send in granny squares to completely cover the outside of the Craft and Folk Art Museum on Wilshire Boulevard. The museum is across the street from the La Brea Tar Pits.
Once again YBLA has reached out to Janice, and members of The Pasadena Crochet Meet Up to participate in the upcoming Grand Central Market Yarn Bombing.
These are the recommended yarns and colors:
1) Red Heart Super Saver : PRETTY n’ PINK
2) Red Heart Super Saver: SHOCKING PINK
3) Red Heart with Love: BLUE HAWAII
4) Lion Brand Pound of Love: TURQUOISE
YBLA would like rectangular pieces to measure 12 inches by 72 inches or 12 inches by 18 inches.
They also want 8 inch circles or doilies in WHITE.
